ROCKS




Rocks form mager part of the earth crust. it may be defined as aggregates of minerals. Some rocks such as quartzite  and marble content grains of one minute only but most are composed of a variety of different minerals the rocks are broadly classified into three groups such as

Igneous rocks --  Igneous rocks are formed by cooling and solidification of magma typical igneous rocks granite and basalt.

 Sedimentary rocks -- sedimentary rocks are formed consolidation and cementation of the sediment deposited under water typical sedimentary rocks sandstone, limestone and shale.
